Set a new record in quantum teleportation, laying the foundation for the future quantum Internet

A quantum internet will be much faster and more secure than the internet you are using right now.

Scientifically, it is based on a phenomenon called quantum entanglement, or quantum entanglement.

This mechanism – which Einstein himself called `spooky` – can be exploited to create quantum networks.

And recently, researchers at Fermilab, AT&T, Caltech, Harvard, NASA JPL and the University of Calgary have demonstrated the ability to sustainably and very accurately quantum teleport over long distances.

To do so, the team added a third `node` in between the sender and receiver.

That’s not the furthest distance quantum teleportation has reached.

But compared to previous new experiments, the results of the recent experiment marked a breakthrough in long-distance accuracy of 90%.

The research was published in the journal PRX Quantum.
