Thanos will no longer be a villain in Avengers 4?
The ending of Avengers: Infinity War left the surviving superheroes (along with Captain Marvel) with an extremely heavy and difficult task and threat.
However, after achieving his goal, Thanos `retired` and is enjoying a peaceful life on his farm, so he may no longer be a threat right after the Infinity War event ends.
According to a theory that has been widely recognized by the Fans community, superheroes will travel in time in Avengers 4 to fight the Thanos of the past.
Thanos once `teamed` with superheroes in comics
This event has appeared in comics and has a clear basis.
In another event, when Thor went crazy, Silver Surfer asked for Thanos’ help, along with Doctor Strange, Adam Warlock and the Infinity Watch team to fight the God of Thunder.
Or in the beginning of Thanos 2016 #10, The Sisters of Eternity created a fake reality where Thanos became a hero in the Avengers ranks and the Mad Titan was really happy with that, until he discovered the truth.
There has been a precedent, so being `on the same team` with superheroes in Avengers 4 is probably not surprising, right?
So who will be the new threat in Avengers 4?
1. The Celestials
First mentioned in Guardians of the Galaxy, the Celestials are known as the most powerful ancient entities and the first to know how to use the power of the Infinity Stones.
It is not too difficult to deduce that the Celestials have lived quietly somewhere all these years waiting for life and monitoring this universe.
2. Eternity
Eternity is a nearly omnipotent entity, representing the infinity of space and reality.
Eternity has never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the plan to bring this character to the big screen has been conceived by the studio for a long time.
Besides, by never appearing in the MCU, Eternity will likely not know exactly who the villains are, but will only rely on who has used the Infinity Stones and may want to destroy those who are evil.
